Dear Friends, Last week, Ben met with his primary care physician and was referred to a surgeon, due to what was originally thought to be aggravated hemorrhoids. Ben was examined by the surgeon last Friday. While Ben does have hemorrhoids, the terrible pain that has kept him bed-bound for the past six weeks is instead due to an anal fissure. Ben was given a prescription for medicated ointment that will help the tissue relax and heal. More bedrest is prescribed, but the good news is he does not need surgery, and--forgive the pun--the end is in sight, for the pain to subside. We are also awaiting the results of a provoked chelation test Ben underwent last week. This will show how well Bens body rids itself of heavy metals. This week is Bens final week of his contract.
