Dear Friends, Lets pledge independence from the use of polythene. Our Independence Day meeting held today saw our members grappling with segregation and organization of close to half-a-lakh paper-bags; which are set to be heading towards distribution in Sundays (August 17) Pack-up Polythene campaign! Awed by the sheer number of paper bags made, Honorable MNA, Shri. Harak Singh Rawat will be joining us on Sunday. (Just look at the sofa in the pic) This has been made possible given the month long efforts of our members. In our July 13 activity, 1600 self made paper bags were distributed. This time we have put in almost 50 times the effort to make it cross 50,000. Special thanks to Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun Institute of Technology students for making so many paper bags; and also to the students of Army Public School Clementown, Doon International School, Pine Hall School, Summer Valley School, Hopetown Girls School, Himjyoti School for responding favorably to our call for support.
