Dear Friends, My final mail for you all before the elections. I think my second mail had the best response because as almost all the contestants have responded to that through their campaign mails. I believe that all the contestants mean what they have said and they all will participate whole heartedly for the revival of the cadre. I have been reading those issues taken up portion of ATC Guild for the past years and found many letters on the same subject. There has been lot of lip service on aspects from accommodation/RNP rules/pay scales etc. I was comparing them to the year 1997 when Julka committee report was submitted and ATC Guild sought its implementation within thirty days. The perseverance paid and major portions were implemented within 60 days. Today not even a letter on WCG report till the declaration of elections. Like general elections many people have spread rumours / promises to confuse the voters. Also lot of mails with combination of teams have been spread based on possible inclinations of sender / receiver. More so on career progression and pay scales The Recruitment and promotion rules of AAI based on which recruitments/ Promotions are done by AAI is available in the AAI web site. Creation of posts goes through a set process and it needs time. Even for creation of one post you have to justify the creation, financial implication and many other questions and then a proposal is to be placed to the AAI Board which meets about ten times in a year for approval. I am not aware of deviations in AAI so far. On the scale of JE all the associations of AAI have written many letters jointly since 2009 which are available in our Guild site. Probably the associations have agreed with the management with the offer of full pay from the date of recruitment and E-2 scale after three years. These are joint acceptance of all associations of AAI and applicable to all. They were caught unaware in 2009 when Non-executive scale was fixed as with the pension scheme. Those were the days when leaders believed in educating the members with correct information. Now in the days of RTI I am really surprised how some are spreading misinformation. If they are not aware the attachment may help and benefit of doubt for others who believe everything is fair in love, war and elections. I wish for a leadership - Who are better informed talk only facts/truth, have vision for the cadre, conviction to pursue the interests of the cadre and be a role model. - Who can take care of the interests of the cadre during the formation of ANS - which plans for long term future and acts throughout the year and not in the last week of June and December. - Which believes unity is strength I hope my belief and conviction that ATCOs are fearless, clear and visionary will be proved and let Guild have better days. My best wishes for the contestants for participating in the rebuilding of GUILD with a request to think of constitutional amendment on Model code of conduct. As a minimum to take effort to keep the membership list current and in case of difficulty I offer my services being in CHQ I am used to the same.
