Dear Friends, On August 6th Steve had a cycling accident. While on vacation, Steve suffered a fall on his left shoulder and side. Thankfully, a sheriff was just across the street and quickly called for an ambulance. The X-rays and CT scan at the emergency room revealed a broken clavicle, 7 fractured ribs and a slight collapse in Steve’s left lung. He was held overnight at the hospital for observation and released the next morning when further X-rays showed that the lung was performing normally. Upon returning home to Tennessee, Steve made an appointment with an orthopedist. After more X-rays we were told that Steve’s injuries would require surgery. He will need a steel plate to repair the broken and shattered clavicle, as well as work to repair torn ligaments in the shoulder. Surgery is set for August 22nd. Would you pray for wisdom, grace, healing, and a listening ear during these days? Our circumstances do not alter our Heavenly Father’s character.
