Dear Friends, Our school system is one of our most important community assets. It touches each of our lives. For this reason, I have announced my candidacy for election to the Valley View School Board. I am asking for your help, your support, and most importantly your vote on September 16, 2014. Growing up I watched my father serve selflessly on a school board for eight years and saw first-hand the time and commitment that it takes. I am ready for the challenge and look forward to having the opportunity to serve if elected. I will be sincere, level headed, and serve with integrity. While serving I will insure that student achievement remains our highest priority by working collaboratively with parents, teachers, and staff. I believe in high academic standards and school and parent accountability. I believe that it is a team effort and everyone must be involved to give our children the best chance for success. My wife, Sandy and I have two children which currently attend Valley View School. We want our children to not only have the very best education, but have the opportunity to excel in other areas such as arts, agriculture, athletics, music, drama, government, media and service. I will work hard to make sure that our children receive the academic skills and training necessary to prepare them for today’s competitive job market and to enter college. I pledge to help create safe conditions in which our children and staff can succeed and that everyone involved in the education of our children is appreciated and held to a high standard.
