Dear Friends, Sorry to have to send out this email, but many of you celebrated with us when my dad turned 100 in February. So it is with some sadness but a sense of the inevitably, to let you know that Dad died yesterday morning. He lived to be 100 and a half years old. He had been fading quickly over the past couple of weeks. Les and I went down to Florida for the weekend of July 19, and had some wonderfully playful conversations with him, and lots of hugs and kisses. Pretty much that was the last time he was able to actually participate in a conversation, except to say how much he loved us all and smile when we told him the same. Les stayed in Florida to be with him. He died, as we hoped he would, in his sleep peacefully, with no suffering. We are not sitting Shiva, as the family is spread all over the place, and I do not know when we will be able to do a funeral. Dad had arranged to be cremated, and I am advised by the Neptune Society with whom he had a contract, that it could take up to 10 to 15 business days to get a permit to cremate. (I know – doesn’t that sound impossible?) So, once I find out when, I will let you know. We will be doing a graveside funeral at our cemetery in Hillside, NJ. I know it will be impossible for most of you to attend, but I will let you know the details if you are going to be around. Felice
