UN Singers Philippine Visit in 2014 The United Nations Singers will be visiting the Philippines for the first time next year from 22 February to 4 March in line with the countrys National Arts Month. The United Nations Singers is a recreational choir formed in 1947 under the UN Staff Recreation Council with the primary goal of spreading the message of harmony and understanding through music. As a microcosm of the world based at the UN Headquarters in New York, the group is composed largely of present and former staff members of the United Nations and its agencies and permanent missions. The UN Singers is widely welcomed and performed successful and inspiring concerts in the United Kingdom, Spain, Argentina, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Japan, China, and Germany. The beneficiary of your gracious financial support is St. Scholasticas Mission Hospital in Pambujan, North Samar. We invite all to help raise funds to make this visit a reality.
