Dear Friends. Who is God? Can God be known? We have said yesterday that somehow; some of you maybe harboring questions in your hearts like, why do we like to drift into the secular issues when what we are supposed to be focusing on is the Bible? We tried to answer this question by saying that there is a great challenge in our world today. And because of rough times people were looking for answers to their different situations. There are too many religions out there that want to offer the people answers. And within these religions that we have in our today, in each one of them there is an element of truth, if not, nobody would be following them. (You can still remember the kind of freedom that spirituality has offered the people so that they would keep away from religions which they said that have control over them.) But the bad news is that none of these religions that can offer anybody the solution that made people to seek God. It may seem that we are all seeking God for different reasons because of our different situations. But this is not true. Somebody may like to challenge us here, but the real truth is that you may see someone who may say that his or her need is money. Then when you give the person the money that he or she was in need of; then you will find out that he or she will never be satisfied. When you give somebody the job he or she was applying for, then you will find out that he or she still has the needs for other things. So today we want to take you to the one event that had happened just after the resurrection before we can return back to our main topic. This event took place during the pre-resurrection days. And this is when the Apostles Peter and John were walking up into the Temple to pray, and within these two family men, there was no dime in their pockets, and all they have within them was Christ Jesus. Then came this 40 years old man who has been begging for alms in front of the Temple. Perhaps, he has heard about Christ before, but he was not interest. All his interest was to make money so to feed the family until this very day when he had met the two Apostles. Then right there the Holy Spirit saw that the daily needs of this man was not money, but Christ Jesus; so right then the Holy Spirit began to whisper to the Apostles. And when they got closer to the beggar and the beggar began to ask them for alms. And right there it would have been a great humiliation for them. For the question would have been how could it be possible that these two able bodied men that have given up on everything in their lives serving the Lord could not boast of a dime so to give alms to the beggar. And what would have been a great shame...was what the Lord turned into the great wonder or story of all time. And just before the beggar could pull down his hand, the Apostles raised up their voices, and said to the man: We do not have gold nor silver, but what we have we give unto you. Rise Up and Stand in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! There, the man who has never walked for the past 40 years of his life stood up and began to jump and to dance. For the first time in his 40 years there was peace in his life, and there was joy in his life (Acts 3). This story is my story and this story is your story, you may have been worrying for so many things for such a long time. Somehow, you have sometimes walked out and left God behind hoping that God is not there, or…. But in within you there is something that is still speaking to you, and there in the state of your anger you felt defeated, you asked questions which answers never come back to you. And then you chose go, go you go, and you come back after a while. Today we want to assure you that there is God, and that you are alive today is because there is God. You must have been going through a lot of things right now beyond your control, and you maybe measuring yourself up with someone that you went to the same school with because of his or her position…. But we are here to assure you that it took that 40 years before God showed up and gave back that beggar everything that he had forgotten that existed in this life. He wouldn`t have believed anybody if he were to be told..., but at the right time, and in God`s own time everything that was wrong was made perfect. Could you wait a bit longer for a moment and know that there is God and that you are alive today because God does not want you to leave this life without your testimony? Wait I say wait for your turn!
