Dear Friends, Yesterday, we shared our view about “the workforce of the Nationalized Banks are most free from work load” , perhaps you will have been perturbed/ surprised to know it. Friends, whenever the govt. launch it policy and scheme, they entrust the duty to the Nationalized Bank for its successful implementation of it. The chairmen, CMD and other top executives of the Nationalized Banks do not share with the Govt. about the staff strength and other problems of the banks. As of now, around 30%-40% staff shortage in the Bank industry and 30% remains with the bank within 1-2 years from the recruitment date. Recently, Our Hon’ble Prime Minster asked to open 1.00 Crores accounts under JAN DHAN YOJNA till 28.08.2014, but the Banks opened more than 1.50 Crores and also ask to open remaining 7.50 Crores account by 26.01.2014. We hope, the banks will achieve this target by 31.12.2014. During the implementation of MGNREGA SCHEME, the banks completed its duty well in time. Under the JAN DHAN YOJNA, our bank was given the target of 1.50 lacs accounts, but we opened more than 3 lacs. This commitment level of the Banks gives the impression to the Government, the bankers and the banks are in comfort. Why do they make hue and cry on the overburden and demand for 5 day Banking and regulated working hours. It has been observed that the Local administration order to the Banks through Lead Bank to do the works which can be done by other department of the local administration. The officer of the rank of General Manager and above does not dare to speak before the bureaucrats in any meeting about their condition. In our opinion, until and unless the banks head are appointed from IAS cadre, no 5 days banking, No salary at par with center govt. and no regulated working hour & No Banking pay commission seems possible. We demand for pay commission like Center pay Commission. The Balance sheet size of the Bank like SBI is much larger than the size of the Budget of many state, but the bureaucrats of these states treats the tops executives of the banks like their subordinates. On the other hand, an executive of any corporate house get warm welcome from them.
