Dear Friends and Family, WE ARE BACK from our incredible family vacation! It started by going to the Texas Rangers baseball game as guests of Trane Corporation. Trane went above and beyond as they hosted an incredible day at ballpark for children and family members staying at the Ronald McDonald House. It was cool to see how Trane made a lot of kids (and their families) forget about their struggles for a day. Blake even got a signed baseball and signed baseball card from Yu Darvish! The next morning we drove to Branson and we had a lot of fun, laughter and even some much earned rest for Blake as his therapists wanted for him. We want to thank everyone on Facebook who gave us great ideas for our Branson trip, as well as those who provided us tickets to some of the great shows and amusement parks! One of the highlights were when Blake was asked to dance in the isle with a waitress on the Showboat Branson Bell, and Cindy was asked to play the fiddle with the fastest fiddle player in the world in front of a packed house. Blake continues to get better and better each day/week in respect to his walking and regaining the use of his right wrist and hand. A big contributor to this is the great work from his therapists and the daily use of electrical stimulation on his leg and arm. We see that Blake is not walking as stiff legged (right leg) as he had been, and his right wrist is now bending much better and his right arm is getting better at extending outward. Also, we finally got confirmation that Blake will be able to take his Gait Test on Monday July 28th. They will put electrodes all over Blake and then ask him to walk. A computer will then digitally analyze Blakes walk, measure which muscles are firing (or not), and provide a lot of other feedback that will help the therapists develop specific treatment plans for Blake. This is GREAT! Please continue to pray for the full restoration of Blakes short term and long term memory, cognitive processing, problem solving and all physical ailments he is experiencing. We know through Christs healing and your prayers that all of these requests will be realized. Its cool to see God at work!!! Psalm 103: 1-5 Looking Up and Looking Forward.
