Dear Friends and family. I want to take a moment to express our greatest gratitude to the hundreds of thoughts and prayers the past week. This has been a very tough week but also a week to give thanks for all our blessings as we said our final goodbyes to Malik Lively. The immediate and extended family walked with grace and class during this difficult time. it was our single objective to send our beloved Malik out with class, dignity, and tribute for that he has meant and will continue to mean to us each and everyday. As I stated during the service yesterday, the only words that sum up our 34 year brotherhood is thank you. Because of Malik Lively I am a better friend and person. So to all that attended the service, sent cards and flowers, warm and comforting words, brought food, and assisted with the service---THANK YOU. It is only fitting that the man who helped so many would receive this outpouring of love from so many. Rest my brother and I know that when I join you, you will be standing there greeting me as you did 34 years ago with that great smile, warm heart, and laughter. Malik Lively, I love your brother!
