Dear Friends of Cornell Tennis and Alumni, Our mantra within - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends of Cornell Tennis and Alumni, Our mantra within our Big Red Tennis program is “get out of yourself and get into the team”. Learn and appreciate how much more meaningful and special your experience will be at Cornell if you abandon yourself to the team. We are always looking to create awareness among our players that they are playing for something a lot bigger than themselves. Besides representing their families, the University, their teammates, our players know they represent the alumni. They know that many people have walked in their shoes before and have followed a similar path. Those people have gone on to accomplish great things after graduating from Cornell. Those people are now looking back and they want to make a difference. Those care for the welfare of future generations of tennis Cornellians and are now generously supporting the program. Those people are you, the alumni. The fiscal year recently concluded. Big Red Men’s Tennis received gifts totaling $107.433 The annual support we receive from former athletes, parents and friends is simply extraordinary. Department wide, athletics, the Cornell Outdoor Education program, and the Big Red Band received current use gifts totaling over $5M! All of us here on the Hill who love the Big Red are very fortunate to have such a philanthropic and caring support group. I appreciate being able to count so many of you in that group. Thank you for your FY `14 gifts! On the intercollegiate athletic side of the house, we use your annual gift to make sure we have opportunity for out-of-region travel, the best equipment and coaching available and ample resources to support our recruiting efforts. Your gifts make a difference! Thank you for supporting Big Red Tennis! Sincerely, Silviu Tanasoiu Men’s Tennis Final Honor Roll (July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014) This honor roll only includes current use gifts to our program and does not reflect gifts to endowment or other special projects.
