Dear Friends of Mindanao Santa I had the chance to sit down with someone today who has talked to me about certain hardships regarding where we are in the world, Mindanao Philippines. I just want to make clear that Mindanao Santa loves you all equally no matter what religious beliefs you have. We have to grow up a little and learn to respect each other’s choices. Myself I am unlike the person that lives here year after year and has that nice tan and a certain way of talking that is poetry to me. I am a Canadian in a foreign land. I have seen the peace that exists in my country between all different cultures, religion and races. The love and understanding of each other makes us unique. I remember the first time I came to the Philippines, most would point and say tombuk, tombuk and then start laughing and making fat gestures by puffing up their cheeks. This showed me that we are different, but I soon learn the meaning of these words and now I can answer them politely. I came here to help people, so how hard it is when people say bad things and laugh. Yes it is hurtful, but I have to move on and not dwell on these matters. I love helping the people here when I can. Which is not every day, but we do our best. Many of you have accepted me in your country and I am very pleased of that, so I made this post that explains how I think a world of peace should look like. God, Allah, Buddha and many more teach about love and caring and I see all these cultures at peace. May we all learn and accept each other. This is very important for all those that we worship and praise. Thank you for reading.
