Dear Friends of The Lake Norman Big Band, George Pappas’ Victory Lanes and the Finish Line Restaurant proudly present: The Lake Norman Big Band Holiday Jazz Show Monday, December 15, 2014 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. 125 Morlake Drive, Mooresville, NC, 28117. The holidays are officially here! The Lake Norman Big Band has a special present for you, your friends and family -- our annual Holiday Jazz Show. Our musical elves have been working very hard to get all of our rhythm instruments, trumpets, trombones, saxophones and voices ready. They have been up for weeks polishing brass, oiling valves, tightening strings and making sure that all of the squeaky notes are cleaned out. Santa has even been put to work creating jazzy arrangements of your favorite holiday songs. We are just waiting for the reindeer to carry the band to you. But, remember ..... These are not your grandmothers Christmas carols. You might be able to sing along with some songs, but be warned that there are many crazy rhythms, intricate sax solos and soaring brass parts in our music. So come, eat, drink, be merry, listen, tap your feet, dance, sing (if you can) and get your holiday cheer on with us at our annual Holiday Jazz Show. First, the bad news This show is SOLD OUT. Now, the GOOD NEWS There is a Second Show at Williamsons Chapel United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 21st from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm. This will be an abbreviated show, but it is open to the public at no charge. More good news - we are back in 2015 at the Finish Line Restaurant for our monthly shows on the 3rd Monday of each month. It is not too early to call the Finish Line Restaurant to make reservations for dinner and the show at 704-664-2695. Those reservations are held with a charge of $15 per person. In exchange, you receive a $10 credit to apply to food and drink purchases. The Finish Line charges a $5 cover. If there are any remaining seats, then they will only be available on a first come/first seated basis. I also want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that The Lake Norman Big Band is a nonprofit musical group that incurs significant ongoing monthly expenses for music, sound equipment, guest artists, etc. Please consider giving a TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTION to enable us to continue to provide high quality programs to you and our community.
