Dear Friends of Waterloo Church, Help is needed on Sunday morning at 9:15 to make lunches for Dover. Sunday is the deadline to contribute money or WalMart cards for CASA. Please speak to Inge with questions or to donate. Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held after worship on Sunday, November 24. Please contact Linda at [email protected] if you would like to sign up to bring something. For hot food, please bring it hot and wrapped in newspaper or an insulated container. We do have an oven, but we cant count on having space in there for all hot items. For cold food, please bring in a cooler in case the refrigerator is full. IF YOU DONT BRING A FOOD ITEM, PLEASE JOIN US ANYWAY and enjoy fellowship and the love we share with one another. Weather permitting, please plan to join us for a game of touch football after Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. Bread of Life on Saturday, November 30 will be outside at Memory Park (Newton) at 11:30 am, so please dress warmly. Well set up our mobile food pantry and offer copies of Love Wins by Rob Bell. Thanks to all who are able to make it! Stanhope United Methodist Church is reaching out to ask for volunteers for hosting Interfaith Hospitality (Family Promise). Waterloo UMC has helped in the past. Stanhope UMC is hosting Hospitality from Sunday, November 24th, through Sunday, December 1st. They have some time slots that still need filling: Mon. Nov. 25th dinner & host from 5-8pm; and Overnight 8pm-7am Wed. 27th overnight 8pm-7am Fri. Nov. 29th Lunch & host 12-5pm; and Overnight 8pm-7am To help, please contact Connie Worthington at Stanhope United Methodist Church, 973-347-0247. We ask that each family consider making or bringing an ornament on December 1 to hang on the church Christmas tree in the sanctuary, during our Hanging of the Greens service. SAVE THE DATE: On Sunday, December 1 (Thanksgiving weekend), after worship, we will have an Advent family gathering with lunch and wreath-making. All are welcome! Peace and Blessings!
