Dear Friends, we are Carmen and Simone and we are going to perform in Edinburgh. Our half an our performance, The Virgin and the Lamb will be part of a double bill together with The Widow by Annie Bashford. We started working together after we finished the bouffon workshop at Ecole Gaulier. And the idea of the play is started with a scene that we presented to Gaulier during the school. He liked the image we created, but we never managed to be in the school show even if we worked and presented the scene again and again for three weeks. We decided to keep working together and that scene sparked our show, and it is a key part of it. The show is about to outcasts dreaming to be Virgin Mary and Jesus on a low cost airline. The feedback by people who see the show is very positive and many people encourage us to keep developing the show. We are investing all our energies and all the money we can. Carmen lives in Bristol and Simone lives in London, so it takes lot of commitment and resources to keep working. Not to mention all the costs to be part of the Edinburgh Free Fringe: travel, accommodation, advertising and so on.
