Dear Gambians, today Sait Matty Jaw is home with his family and we call him a FREE MAN. I have never seen Gambian voice speak out like this before but I must hurry to remind us to be respectful of each others views and ways. I am heartbroken by the post Free Sait Matty Jaw campaign social media fight of who cares and who does not care. We are one people with one intention and different ways of getting there. We might not all agree on one tactic but we can be respectful of each others tactic. Lets agree that some mistakes were made and no one has to be on the defensive. Instead, whether does who care or those who not care just have to learn from them. We must be willing to learn. In saddens me that my people never want to think that they were for once wrong but will come out and speak out to defend themselves. The first step to learn is to identify missteps. But I say Sait is not free, he lives in Gambia. He is living in an open prison. The fight for justice, freedom and liberty of all Gambians continue and I encourage all to join and do whatever you can in whatever way. I look forward to unity, tolerance, understanding and a Gambia where we can maturely engage one another... Please, Saits freedom is not a win for any group, it is a win for all Gambian youths; Saits freedom cannot be given as a victory to anyones tactic but to a collective efforts of different tactics. You know why, because in the end, we all wanted the same results - freedom for Sait.
