Dear General Hospital; I havent watched Fridays episode yet, but because I know its really a Thursday episode because of all the crapola thats been going on in the real world, Ill try to be gentle with it. However, lets get real for a minute. There are 617 people on this page who, for the last several months, really havent had a whole lot of praise for what the heck has been going on in Port Charles. There are more people on the canvas, with veterans flitting in and out without much care for context or even interest. We have newcomers who breeze and then vanish for months, and for the love of all that is holy, please free CARRRRRRRLOS. Now were hearing rumors about Jason being recast, and heaven knows youve been setting it up for the the last 3 months (setting up = hitting us over the head with really obviously clues). I, for one, will do my best to be gracious to whomever shows up, but in fair warning, please review the Lulu recast before you get too excited about things. Also, can we move on from love-triangles, baby switching, DNA tests, crazy people, and giving old characters new personality traits on the spot? We like story lines with genuine arcs, beginning, middles, ends... not gruesome beginnings and then the middle comes 18 months later and lasts for three years, and then wrap it all up in 5 episodes (and yes, I am talking about the whole Robing coming home storyline). Give us mystery, give us Franco and Carly solving crimes, give us Crazy Cassidines, and hey, remember the Quartermaines? They used to have really interesting stories, not this weird Fluke thing and Alices heart which are getting older than stinky cheese. So, heres to a better week, the wrapping up of an awkward summer, and the hopes that we can just tighten up the show a bit and get things ship shape again before November sweeps. Love, LaSnark
