Dear Gymboree@ the Northshore Mall: I’m never impressed with your overpriced clothing; however, I occasionally purchase items when your store carries what I need. I certainly wasn’t impressed with the three people in your store today, at approximately 1:30 p.m., and shoplifted well over $500 worth of inventory. I discretely brought it to your sales associate’s attention when I asked her if your clothing was security tagged and gave non-verbal cues. After the shoplifters left, the sales associate told me that they are not allowed to say anything to shoplifters or alert security. Are you kidding me? You’re willing to let people take inventory from your store with no consequence? Not to mention, how unsafe I felt in your store with my daughter in her carriage. I’m not so sure why I hemmed and hawed about a $42.00 tunic shirt. I should have just walked out with it. I’m shocked that you have no security policies in place and you put your associates in compromising positions. I’m also shocked that as we approach the holiday season, there aren’t more associates on the floor supporting each other. Needless to say, I didn’t purchase the shirt and won’t be shopping at your store anymore. It’s a sin that I had to double checked to see if my daughter’s new boots she received for her birthday were still on her feet.
