Dear HHO Enthusiasts, The secret of Stan Meyers electrolyzer is that he added a circuit to the dc applied to the electrolyzer plates such that the dc current was pulsed at a frequency that he referred to as harmonic to the natural vibration frequency of the hydrogen-oxygen bond in the water molecule. He says the grabbing of the hydrogen nucleus of water is accomplished by the negative plate by giving that plate the highest negative potential as the electron cloud of the covalent bond linking the hydrogen nucleus to the oxygen nucleus switches closest to the oxygen nucleus as it is pulled by the highest positive potential on the other plate. Imagine the two nuclii (hydrogen and oxygen) being connected together by a spring and the spring expands and contracts based on a certain frequency and when the nuclii are farthest away from each other, the spring breaks). This circuit he claimed separated the component H2 and O2 of water at just a fraction of the energy needed by conventional electrolysis which enabled his dune buggy to run on water. If we can develop this circuit, the storage of solar harvested energy, which is currently constrained by current battery technologies can be stored as hydrogen to power nightime demand or even power mobile transpo units. This direction of research augurs well to the evolving hydrogen fuel cell technology which is at its infancy. As this fuel cell tech matures, the nightime electricity demand may well be coming from hydrogen from electrolysis of water from solar panels at daytime and fed back to fuel cells when sun is down. Hydrogen storage has also been found to be feasible with not so thick tanks if certain hydrides (which act as hydrogen absorbents) are put inside ordinary propane or butane tanks. I am throwing this idea to the group as I have noted that we have many electronics experts here. Stan was murdered as he was preparing to mass produce his water car invention for the benefit of mankind. If you are challenged by this idea, you can google Stan Meyers patents and diagrams of his electrolyzer designs.
