Dear Heavenly Father, Some days, we come to you and we just have heavy hearts. We see loved ones suffering and we know we are helpless to do anything to ease their pain or help their situations. Sometimes, we see all that is wrong around us...people that are cruel, hurtful or dishonest...and we are reminded that we live in a sinful world, where as much as we strive to be like you, we fall miserably short. On the hard days Lord, we think of one of the shortest sentences in the Bible, which simply said, Jesus wept. Lord, you know what it is like to weep. Surely, your heart must grieve every day over the sin, hurt and pain that exists here. On days like these Lord, we know that this is not our home...that we are just passing through and what a comfort to know that better things await us in the future. Lord, for everyone that is having a hard time, I pray you would just envelop them with your Holy Spirit and your loving embrace. May they feel a heavenly cocoon of warmth and love surround them. May they picture you cradling them, hugging them and reassuring them, that everything will be okay. Lord, sometimes we just have to let the dam burst and let the tears fall and flush the hurts from our system. Sometimes we just have to say, Lord, I am weary, I cant, but you can. Perhaps you allow these times, Lord, just so we can fall into your arms and know that you are the one, that catches us when we fall ...you are the one, that holds us up when we are weak and you are the one that carries us, when we are just too bruised and battle weary to even move. Lord, help us to make the time to rest at your feet. In the stillness and in solitude, may we be ministered to by you with no thought of distractions or demands on our time. Help us to envision a safe place where we can go to be surrounded by your warmth, joy, peace and love. Lord please love on and restore all those who need encouragement and strength. Please give them relief from the battles of life. We ask you to come Jesus and comfort the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds. Gather those unto yourself that are worn down from constant pain and illness.We know that you long to spend alone time with us Lord...you long to speak to us of things we dont know and to give us encouragement for what lies ahead. Lord, please do what we cant do and give rest to the weary today we pray. In the name above all names, we say thank you and we praise you for your greatness. Amen Praying Gods peace be upon you!
