Dear Hillers, I signed the petition and would encourage - TopicsExpress

Dear Hillers, I signed the petition and would encourage everyone to do the same. Is the Parks and Rec Dept perfect? Heck no, but my impression of Willis Winters is that he does lots of good and is not corrupt. He is not on top of everything like we would like, but he is about 1000x better than his predecessor Paul Dyer. If I had to look for a corrupt group operating out of Dallas City Hall, Id go no further than looking up any organization propelled by Mary Suhm, such as the Trinity Watershed Management. And look whos in change? Jill Jordan. Read up on her tenure if you have a strong stomach. So we have a group of questionable city officials in charge of one of the greatest boondoggles in the citys long history - federal money you can roll in. I signed Philip Kingstons petition because despite our earnest wishes, not everyone will not be fired at TWM, and they have done a jaw-droopingly awful job. I am signing Philip Kingstons petition because the employees at the TWM have been hand picked by Suhm and carry on her shady dealings. I am signing Philip Kinstons petition because he represents change at City Hall and that is what he has asked us to do. Councilman Kingston, who is one of the few beacons of light on the Dallas City Council, is asking us to support his efforts to better protect the Trinity. Whatever should happen at TWM is at this point wishful thinking. If Councilman Kingston believes that the TWM group is incapable of managing the project, why would we not support him? Seriously, it isnt like the Parks Department has never overseen a golf course. It isnt rocket science, its moving dirt. Carol Bell-Walton
