Dear IMRCS Candidate, Examinations – Alexandria-Egypt – - TopicsExpress

Dear IMRCS Candidate, Examinations – Alexandria-Egypt – December 2013 We were sorry to hear of the recent unrest in Egypt and hope that the situation is soon resolved. The unrest in Egypt at the present time does, however, give us some cause for concern in relation to running the MRCS Part B examinations in Alexandria in December 2013. We have reviewed the situation and decided that it would be sensible to makes some changes to the current schedule. We believe it appropriate to defer the Alexandria MRCS Part B examinations to a later date, which is yet to be confirmed. This means that the December 2013 examination will not take place in Alexandria. For those candidates who do not wish to wait for a rescheduled examination, you may wish to sit an MRCS Part B examination at our Cyprus centre, which will run from 31st October until 3rd/4th of November. If you would like to sit the MRCS Part B examination in Nicosia, in Cyprus in October/November 2013, would you kindly send an email to my colleague Zakiya Campbell at [email protected] by 16th September 2013 confirming your intentions. If you do decide to sit the examinations in Cyprus, you will need to bear the additional costs involved. We will confirm full details of the examination arrangements to candidates who wish to transfer their entries in late September. We trust you understand our concerns and very much look forward to a rescheduled Part B examination once the situation in Egypt is more settled. Yours sincerely Stephen Hills Director, Dental and Surgical The Royal College of Surgeons of England
