Dear Indian Citizen, I am taken a back when people of this country, exert so much of confidence in the fact that a man who used to once run a tea-stall, will use a magic wand to revive an economy which is in dire-straits I am atsonished that we are so kicked about having a PM, who was at the centre of controversy for communal atrocities some years ago. Today he will be overseeing a nation with diverse communities and a dozen of minorities. Its incredible that the atmosphere of India has turned so euphoric with one Political Party defeating the other. One party screwed up twice and the new one has not even proven its worth. Yet we are all compelled to believe that change will happen, when we wake up tomorrow morning... It amuses me even more, after so being so educated we will follow the herd, without any clear rational or introspection of our own. I personally have no grudges against the newly formed Government or any biases towards the parties that may have lost. All I am saying is you need to express the similar euphoria and zeal, 5 years down the line, when the new Government proves its worth and reiterates how its bought about a mammoth change over the previous Govt...Go ahead with your heads high, Chant Ab Ki Baar and Haar Haat Shakti slogans when: - GDP is revived to 10-12% levels - Corruption becomes a yesteryears phenomenon - Your minority friends and neighbours feel equal to you - Your sister and mothers feel truly empowered and safe to step outside their homes at any time - You dont witness poor children and families clinging to you to make ends meet - You earn more money than the taxes you have been paying - You can afford a decent home forget a dream home - You no more complain about congested roads and crowded public transport - And yes, you as a citizen feel thoroughly empowered, and modified. When you believe that the choice you had made standing before the polling booth five years ago, was indeed the right one.... That day I shall truly salute the Government that was successful in bringing about this so called Change...
