Dear Indiana University, I have never been more ashamed to say that I go to your school. Last night I had the extreme pleasure of seeing a group of my peers dress up as Mexicans for a bar crawl. I should not explain to you how offense that is seeing as were barely fighting for our rights to continue our Latino Studies program. Also, it hurts that In the future when I go to apply for a job, my white counterpart would be more likely to get it because they are white. Not only is this country hunting people of Hispanic decent like dogs, we have to deal with unfair hiring jobs that dont extend to Hispanic people. So thank you for that lesson and thank you IU for putting diversity first at the school and employment opportunities second. Barely yours anymore, Yvette.
