Dear Instructors, Studio Owners, School Directors: Many of you are looking for success and desire good testimonials and reviews yet you may be missing a key ingredient. CONSISTENCY! Be consistent to your students. If you are constantly changing your class schedule, prices, locations, levels, constantly need subs for your traveling adventures, and cancel classes frequently just imagine how your students may feel. I understand the thirst and hunger for going around the world to do what you love, but theres a reason that those who travel frequently dont teach regular classes and vice versa. We cant have it all! Just imagine yourself as a student and your favorite teacher tells you almost every day I have this cool gig outside the country so I wont be there for the class the students of course will be happy for you but a part of them is wondering okay what about us? Balance the best way you can. Dont be the vulture that scavenges for anything and everything out there. Instead take your time to prepare what you do and offer it in a consistent matter. Make tough decisions that favor the demands of your students, audience, and fan base more than your own great ideas and aspirations. All that glory you want for yourself will come in its due time sometimes when you least expect it. ;)
