Dear, J Cole For years, I have worked hard to develop the fan base & supporters I have. Ive been in these streets, showing love, kissing babies & created a lane for myself as well as, my team (AOG) ...To hear you say youre disappointed in NC Hip Hop is a slap in the face to the artists that actually try, to the artists that pursue the same dream you have witnessed. I cant say I dont agree with your logic, but I do believe its NOT your place to speak on a situation that you cant relate too. I bleed NC Hip Hop and have been on the frontline since before you had a name, never seen you in a club, showcase, gathering etc where other NC artists have met to network. I have yet to see you extend a hand to showcase another NC artist, or even breathe a little life into our music scene. But, Youre disappointed in US?...well, Im disappointed in YOU! North Carolina is a market with so much to offer. Theres a plethora of talent that could be showcased, an abundance of fans that could be introduced to our scene but instead. The ONE person with the ability to HELP downplays the region as if we are ALL the same. You were never hands on with our music scene, you were never in talks of NC RAPPERS before your major record deal. Youre NOT even a pioneer of our music scene. I never hated your position, your talent deserves to be rewarded, but its easy to call the game when youre sitting court side, but remember they are playing a game that you never had to play. I cant respect the opinions from the other side, until they can say they have experienced the blood sweat and tears it took to get us to where we are NOW! Sincerely, One of Many #AOG P.s.
