Dear JHS Marching Band supporters, Starting tomorrow, you will - TopicsExpress

Dear JHS Marching Band supporters, Starting tomorrow, you will have the opportunity to continue showing your support of the Juniata High School Marching Band members by voting MANY times throughout this week’s next voting phase of the PennLive Marching Band Brawl contest. Throughout the week, try re-visiting the PennLive contest page a number of times each day to see if you might be able to submit more than one vote each day. Being fairly new to the PennLive’s fun voting contests, I am not certain whether you need to first register (for free) and sign-in using your established user name and password (each time you wish to cast a vote) or if anyone can choose to vote for their favorite band. Regardless, please try all options and have fun as you check back to see how the contest vote tally is going for all involved bands. What makes this contest interesting is the fact that many LARGE Harrisburg area bands will be in the mix. Let’s show them a bit of Juniata County pride! Click on the link provided below for more details: pennlive/sports/index.ssf/2014/09/did_your_school_make_marching_band_brawl.html As I told our band members . . . Regardless of which bands might eventually qualify as the four finalists, this contest is creating fun moments for our JHS band members and it is exciting to see the added enthusiasm on everyone’s faces when discussing how we might continue to display a high level of school spirit. GO BIG RED!!!!! Thanks for your support, Mr. C * * * * * * * Previously provided information . . . including details on how to register and establish a free account (including a chosen display name) on the Harrisburg Patriot’s PennLive site. A very sincere “Thanks” goes to anyone who has taken the time to first register on the PennLive MARCHING BAND BRAWL site (and then finalize the registration process by clicking on PennLive’s sent confirmation e-mail link before posting a supportive comment). NOTE: Before being able to post your own comment, you need to have completed the FREE registration process (including the final step that includes clicking on the provided link contained in a confirmation e-mail from the PennLive registration folks), signing-in to the PennLive website using your newly established user name and password, and then following the voting ‘steps’ explained below. Again, make certain that you are ‘Signed-In’ before posting your comments; otherwise you will see what appears to be a never ending loading symbol . . . kind of like the music that you sometimes listen to when being put ‘on hold’ while waiting for one-on-one phone conversations. Thanks again to all active players in this fun contest! This is bringing back good memories of the Kellogg’s Contest that created extra attention and funds for improving our school’s track. It is not too late to join in on the fun . . . just register for free, confirm your registration, sign-in to PennLive’s MARCHING BAND BRAWL webpage, and add your vote by making a positive comment regarding our Juniata BIG RED Marching Band’s shown school spirit. Just like the Kellogg’s Contest of a few years back, things of this sort tend to create added enthusiasm to our lives. PLEASE ADD YOUR POSITIVE VOICE TO THE MIX. Also, take time to scroll down through the comments and read what others have to say about the JHS band and other contestants. At the end of the first page of comments, you will be given the opportunity to ‘see more comments.’ FUN STUFF . . . and once the contest folks choose their four band finalists, a visit by the PennLive judges will be just another bit of added fun for this fall band season. Get that “Party Rock Anthem” stands WAVE ready for the cameras!!!!! Respectfully, Mr. C P.S. Did I mention the importance of EACH individual vote????? From: Kevin Cunningham Sent: Tuesday, September 9, 2014 9:37 PM To: BAND FAMILIES Subject: Opportunity to show your pride in our BIG RED Marching Band Dear Band Families, Here is a great opportunity for you to show your pride in our 100 member JHS Marching Band . . . without needing to spend a single penny. If you have ever attended a Juniata H.S. football game in recent years and witnessed the JHS band members on the field and in the stands, I trust that you can appreciate their enthusiastic support of our football team and cheerleaders . . . along with a considerable amount of shown school spirit. Here is your chance to recognize the band members for their efforts. PennLive is conducting a friendly Central PA contest to determine the most spirited high school marching band. EASY STEPS TO ALLOW YOUR VOTE TO BE IN THE MIX . . . After arriving at the PennLive Marching Band Brawl page, you will be able to register for free . . . and then be able to post your supportive comments. NOTE: Each submitted comment counts as a vote. After scrolling down to the comment section, click the ‘Sign In’ link. When viewing the upper right hand corner ‘Sign In info box,’ choose to ‘Register now for free.’ When registering your info, you can choose to NOT receive further e-mail messages from Penn Live (a nice choice for some folks).
