Dear Janay Rice- I read your statement and I am deeply saddened as a woman. There is no part of a man punching you in the face like a dude that is your fault. I dont care if you cussed him out all day everyday for 3 weeks straight...he NEVER has the right to physically assault or violate you in any way. Granted Im sure there are some other mitigating factors at play in your life for you wanting to deal with him but the truth is....no amount of money or recognition or party invites or award show tickets or concerts or Louis Vuitton bags or celebrity friends or expensive cars that are worth some guy punching you in your face. Also when he clocked you, Im not sure if it was the punch or you hitting the railing that knocked you out, but in any event you fell to the floor unconscious. He stood over you like get up and when the elevator opened he dragged you out with no compassion like a sack of potatoes and then let your face hit the floor. Was that really okay with you Janay? Was it really okay? It must have been because after that you said I do. As women WE teach men how to treat us. If we accept the bad behavior, we will continue to receive the bad behavior, translation if he punched you in the face like that once. He will do it again.... If you had been a little bit smarter, the second you got your hands on that footage you should have sued him for everything he was worth, and you would have gotten it. Now you are going to be dealing with a man who has proven that he is volatile, he is now out of a job and Im sure hes blaming you for being out of a job, soon youll be out of money....and now you are his wife.
