Theyre cold, hungry and frightened. They desperately need our care. Thats why I am coming to you. These helpless cubs are all alone in the world without their mother. And without our intervention many would starve and die. If you could see them, youd know just how helpless they are. Many of the cubs are only a few days old with their eyes yet unopened -- suffering from exposure, severely distressed and underfed. Theyre so tiny, so fragile. They weigh only about half a kilogram. And they need our help if they are to survive. Its a joy to care for these helpless cubs, but its never easy. They need constant care. The helpless cubs nuzzle against heating pads that imitate the warmth of their mothers belly. Theyre fed 8 times a day with a lifesaving formula. Theyre massaged after each feeding to stimulate their digestion. Without this intensive care, the little bears will sicken and die. The hand-rearing process requires an expert staff that has developed veterinary skills that ensure the cubs not only survive - but thrive. The orphaned cubs need your help to survive winter. IFAWs Bear Rescue Centre has successfully raised and returned more than 200 bears to the wild. Youve acted in the past to help animals. I am so grateful that youve cared enough to take a stand and lend your voice in support of animals who needed rescue and protection. I can assure you that it made a difference. Are you ready to help in a new way? Soon more orphaned cubs will arrive at the Rescue Centre. They will be hungry and cold. Can you give a holiday gift that will allow these new cubs to get the lifesaving help they need? These young bears cant survive the winter without people like you. Heres how you can help: $42 - You can provide essential food. Little bear cubs eat a lot. Your gift will help feed a cub for two weeks. $60 - You can provide comfort. You can keep two little cubs cozy all winter with heating pads. Theyll snuggle against the pads just like it was their mom’s warm belly. $77 - You can provide medical supplies. You can help make sure the Rescue Centre staff has the lifesaving antibiotics and vitamins that will keep the baby bears healthy. $230 - You can provide warmth. It takes a lot of energy to keep the den house warm during a frigid Russian winter. This gift will make a big difference in the Rescue Centres heating bill. Every day of the year, hundreds of animals all around the world depend on IFAW for food, medicine and protection. Wont you please help orphaned bears and other animals in need today? Thank you, and happy holidays. Azzedine Downes Azzedine Downes signature Azzedine Downes IFAW President & CEO P.S.
