Dear LIUNA Action Network Member, Some corporate CEOs are paid - TopicsExpress

Dear LIUNA Action Network Member, Some corporate CEOs are paid more in one hour than the average employee makes in a year no wonder theyre ashamed and are trying to hide it. But now the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is considering requiring corporations to reveal how much they pay CEOs compared to their average worker and they need to hear from you to encourage them to do so. Tell the SEC to require companies to disclose the ratio of CEO pay to workers paychecks: liunaactionnetwork.org/site/R? i=EHu1Jd5E0uhrAg_0YUfRqQ The gap between what CEOs are paid and what workers are paid has soared. In 1982, the average CEO made 42 times the average worker. In 2012, it was 354 times the average worker. And unfortunately, all that money doesnt translate into better performance or higher returns for investors, including union pension funds. In fact, compensation experts have found that there is a relationship between high CEO pay and poor performance. By mandating CEO-to-worker pay ratio disclosure on corporate balance sheets, future corporate boards might be less willing to over compensate their CEOs. Tell the SEC, its time for a change we need companies to disclose the relationship between CEO pay and workers pay. liunaactionnetwork.org/site/R?i=-UCpOFQeBwTpI6cWNsSxpg In Solidarity, LIUNA Action Network liunaactionnetwork.org/site/R?i=wdQscFg0CqttRklQqhAUCg liunaactionnetwork.org/site/R?i=TzI0-ImhURJCapwSe_fN6Q liunaactionnetwork.org/site/R?i=8DbyypYw-p2qJgtfakW_Xw liunaactionnetwork.org/site/R?i=YDXuTKBj1i3EGltBUjASpQ Please spread the word about the LIUNA Action Network, by forwarding this message. liunaactionnetwork.org/site/R?i=mnbjaYsY2Di9s1CW6pP_zA If you no longer wish to receive emails from the LIUNA Action Network, click here to unsubscribe. liunaactionnetwork.org/site/CO? i=ULFljn7JKWUvXwGZ3Sry347u7CyxxXz7&cid=1042 LIUNA 905 16th Street NW
