Dear Lauren, Im not gonna say I remember the day you were born, because lets be honest, I was five and that would be a lie. I do, however remember you as a baby, and a toddler, and I remember that your happy, sad, mad, overjoyed, bored, and furious face were all one-in-the-same. And I remember you being older, around the ages of 5 to say 12 or so, because I hated you. You were annoying and you always wanted to be around me, and youd steal my favorite color and touch all my stuff, and I hated your guts. With five years seperating us, it wasnt always easy to get along. But something pretty cool happened as you got older; you started to blossom into this amazing, funny, beautiful young lady. You started to grow into yourself. And I still remember all the things you did that made me hate you, but I remember the moments that made me love, appreciate, and respect you more. I remember when we first moved here and I was still in fredericksburg and it was your first day of school, and I showed up early at the house and mom said Please go talk to Lauren and I found you in the bathroom and you were so upset, and I gave you one of my awesome big sister pep talks, and look at you now. And I remember how excited you were when you got your permit and how nervous I was to let you drive my car, and when you got your license and you took your first legal drive to Mickey Ds and I was so worried the whole time (mainly bc I was worried about my car). And honestly, I could go on forever sharing so many moments that have made us closer. But what I want you to know is that as much as Ive been there for you, youve been there for me just as much. And I hope that Ive instilled in you important things and I hope you know how much Ill always be there for you. I cant believe that youre 18, but I couldnt be any prouder of you and the beautiful young woman youve grown into. And even though youve got your own stuff going on now and we might not spend as much time together, youre always going to be such a huge part of my life. Youre one fifth of the people that make me a better person, and Im so, so grateful that I was lucky enough to be your big sister, and I hope its a job that you think Im doing well. Happy Birthday baby girl! I love you so much. Enjoy your day. :) ♡♡♡♡♡ And I cant wait until we go get our tattoos.
