Dear Leo Mendoza , your wife, Jin Young and BAPS. Wow.. You composed a long story on Christmas day~! :-) Most of all, did I reject your proposal? Oh.. no. I had told you that we would help the dogs you would take to find new homes and then you rejected to take dogs form Ulsan city pound. I always record all phone conversations. Its just my occupational habit. If you want, I can give it to you. Hm.. frankly speaking... I envy you ... that you can easily reject to rescue these dogs. I and our staff cant give them up so easily for were seeing them in person. :-( Sometimes I really wish I could run away from this situation. Now... lets talk about Ulsan situation. Im weak in Eglish so.. though I make an offense please be generous to me. My major is Law... not English. :-( In fact I has been asked to agree about ethanasia of some dogs almost every week from the end of November. As you know there were 550 dogs then, I couldnt insist on not euthanizing the dogs any more. So I finally answered I would agree about euthanasia of some dogs and started to talk about who will be euthanized etc. And, I noticed Ulsan situation in Korean web site and Face book EFL page. And.. as you know.. there was a miracle. Even words cant express my amazement at and pride in FB EFL members and Korean EFL members help. Weve sent almost 250 dogs now. Just for 5 or 6 weeks. I even couldnt imagine this situation. Whenever I was asked to agree about euthanasia, we, EFL saved them. Laon(Chronic renal failure patient) was the dog who would be euthanized and Gino was it as well... and the jindo with demodex was it... and the new one with his neck terribly injured is the one. Last week, I was asked if I agree or not about the euthanasia of hw positive dogs. I answered NO. Yes.. Ive been asked if I agree about euthanasia of some dogs or not till today. And Ulsan pound was told that it wont take a stray dog any more as long as it keep over dogs. In fact, Ulsan pound took just several dogs( it usually takes over 100 dogs a month) in december. Most stray dogs were sent to Ulsan vets hospitals and were euthanized. (EFL doesnt have any contract with the hospitals.) Ulsan pound owner is not an animal activist. He cant endure such huge chronic deficit and I cant insist that he should do it. In the near future, I may have to agree about euthanasia of some dogs. I was told that Ulsan staff had asked Leos wife, Jin Young the records about BAPS adoption activities but you didnt send it. And I had told your wife that I thought all shelters including EFL are just shelters... not homes. So I wish your BAPS would do your best to find new homes for these Ulsan dogs but I was not answered. Frankly speaking, I know innumerable private shelters which is run to make a living in fact. Im not talking about your shelters, Leo. I dont know who you are or What BAPS is. The only thing I clearly know is all shelter dogs are desperately hoping their family. Your wife, Jin Young Shin keeps explaining me how good your shelter is... but I dont agree with her or you. BAPS and EFL are not homes. Im working for dogs for 6-7 years so I exactly know how lonely shelter dogs are and how desperately they wish their homes. So... please a little bit flexible to find a dog a new home.
