Dear Library Professionals and LAB members, Greetings from Bangladesh. Already Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB) has passed more than half century, but first time we get the chance to elect an MP of ruling party to make a bridge between Government and Library Professionals in a fruitful way, not only that the MP could be able to raise a voice in Bangladesh Parliament to do something for Bangladeshi professionals. BEGUM AKHTAR JAHAN, MP is an active library professional leader who was elected several times in LAB Executive Committee Member, former Deputy Librarian of Rajshahi University, one of the key role player for founding LIS Dept. in Rajshahi University, now an MP and a Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Ministry of Finance. It is our good luck that BEGUM AKHTAR JAHAN, MP has given her kind consent to compete the forth coming LAB Election- 2014.
