Dear Lift Family, Did you know that you are in an EPIC BATTLE every day? The battle takes place in the spiritual plane that Paul so aptly describes for us (Ephesians 6). We can, and should be those heroes that battle on the front lines, against all odds. Over the last nine months I have increased my prayer time in concentrated times. Instead of only praying in short bursts throughout the day (which I still do) I started increasing my morning prayer time from five minutes to 15, then a half hour, and then an hour. I try most mornings to have at least a half hour and I have been blown away at the blessing. How have I missed this? God speaks – in dreams, visions, pictures, words, audibly – we just have to be willing vessels to receive. Prayer allows our heart to be aligned with the heart of the Father, so that we love the things God loves. It’s incredible! Prayer is a huge reason TIM MERRELL has had the MIRACLE of being at pain “0.” If you ever doubted the power of prayer, doubt no longer. God not only invites us to participate, we are a key element to winning the battle. Not because we ourselves have any power, but rather it’s God’s power in the HOLY SPIRIT working through us. We are simply conduits of His power and love. There is no coincidence on the timing of events in Tim’s life. Keep praying for complete healing in Tim’s life, for the battle is not over yet! This Week in LIFT: THURSDAY: Refuel – * LOCATION CHANGE. * This week we are meeting at TPC. Since it is at TPC, please eat prior to arriving for the Bible Study. The exact room has not been determined yet, so please meet in the Lobby and Dan Strand will direct you to the correct room. Dan is teaching on “The Basic Truths About The Devil.” SATURDAY: Work Project from 9am-11am unloading moving truck near Nippers Corner. Breakfast is provided. THE LIFT EXPERIENCE is OUTSIDE Saturday night, 5:30pm, on the lawn beside the white house on the hill at the TPC campus. The entrance to the white house is on the east side of the church. DAN MERRELL will be starting our series MY SOUL SINGS with a word entitled CLARITY and CONFUSION (from Psalm 1). We live in a world of confusion, but God is a God of clarity. Be ready for amazing teaching, special music before and after by Meta’s Daughter, HALEY MORGAN, whom I have heard numerous times at UNDERGROUND in Chattanooga and can say she is one of the best worship leaders ever. It all starts at 5:30 with a cookout of FREE hamburgers and hotdogs for the first 50 people that show up! Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Bring your kids and your pets. We are going to WORSHIP in the beauty of God’s creation. We will also be celebrating BETH ARTER, who is leaving for Jackson soon. The Lord is sending her away to Mississippi, but we refuse to say goodbye. Come wish her well!
