Dear Lift Family, I have pondered questions of faith and life - TopicsExpress

Dear Lift Family, I have pondered questions of faith and life almost every day since my 20’s. The amazing thing to realize is that though God is sovereign, He does give us the gift of free will. This results in choices and decisions that we may make that are not God’s best for us. At the time we maybe earnestly seeking God’s will, but we still make mistakes. It is this perspective that allows us to grow and mature and move from a place of reaction (victim) to a place of pro-action (survivor). We have to understand and own the process of our life, mistakes, sins, and take that huge plank out of our eye. This leads down a path of forgiveness, redemption, hope and understanding. Tuck God’s word into your heart – memorize it, ruminate on it, grow in it. Walk in new life with the joy of Jesus, for Jesus loved life. We should too. This week in LIFT: TONIGHT - REFUEL at Susan Campbell’s home (1528 Puryear Place, Brentwood). Enjoy a meal, fellowship, and bible teaching by Dan Strand on "The Parable of the Talents." It all starts at 6:30pm. SATURDAY – THE LIFT EXPERIENCE is OUTSIDE Saturday night, 5:30pm, on the lawn beside the white house on the hill at the TPC campus. The entrance to the white house is on the east side of the church. Continue up the hill and park around the entire circle.
