Dear Local Harvesters, What an incredible week! 7 days ago we thought it was likely we would be closing our doors and today we are instead working on plans for our future. Words cannot express how grateful we are to this amazing community that came together and saved us. You saved our business, you saved our jobs, and you gave us renewed hope. For those of you that remember the bucket brigade that moved our little 600 square foot grocery store into our current space, this past week was like having the bucket brigade working for 7 days, 24 hours a day. It was overwhelming, exhilarating, and humbling. We understand that now we have a solemn responsibility to you. We have to make good decisions and run our businesses so that they grow and are profitable, so we can be here for you for the next year and for many years after that. We have to continue being a community asset and providing clean, local foods. We have to help food entrepreneurs and small farmers get started and keep the current ones growing. We do not take this responsibility lightly. Everyone at Local Harvest is eager to fulfill our obligations and everyone is grateful to you for all of your support. Now, its back to work.
