Dear Lord, Bless the person who did the dishes and cleaned the counters and put the dishes away and scrubbed the stove clean, and made it sparkle; And bless the person who cleaned up all the toys and put them away (but left out all the Legos on the table); And bless the one who cleaned the garage; And who cleaned out the van; And bless whoever split the firewood and stacked it And cut the kindling, and tore up the cardboard, and brought the wood in to dry; And bless the one who washed and sheets and made the beds. And bless the one who did the tubs and the sinks and made them all shine. And bless the one who vacuumed the carpets and folded the towels and cleaned the toilets and put all the little boots in neat rows. And bring back the rumble of feet throughout the house, and squeal of little voices playing and sparing and dribbling back and forth. And help us to always be sensitive to the of those in need or in pain so we can find ways to lighten their load. And also, bless the one who made the apple pie. Yum.
