Dear Lord, I humbly pray and ask that you protect all of those who are traveling on the busy highways. Especially those for whom I call friends and loved ones. Too many lives are cut short by the distraction or carelessness of others. Protect them and bring them to their homes safely. I pray to you using the prayer taught to me by my father, It goes something like this: Grant me O Lord a steady hand and watchful eye. That no one shall be hurt as I pass by. You give the gift of life, I pray no act of mine May take away or mar that gift of yours. Shelter those, dear Lord, who bear me company, From the evils of fire and all calamity. Teach me to use my vehicle for others need; St. Christopher, holy patron of travelers, Protect me and lead me safely to my destiny. In Jesus Name I pray.
