Dear MAS Club Members – Happy New Year! We kick off the New Year with a visit to the studio of artist and master printmaker, Percy Martin. As we continue a yearlong celebration of Millennium’s 15 years, this is a wonderful start to the New Year - Percy Martin was the inaugural salon speaker from Millennium’s beginning in October 2000. We honored and excited to share this special time with him. Please hold the date for details of this members only event on Saturday, January 24th from 4-7pm. (Note: This event is Free to Patron level members and above) · March - Tour led by Dr. Adrienne Childs, curator of “Conversations” Exhibition (featuring selected works from the Cosby Collection and the National Museum of African Art) · April - Home Salon and Screening featuring Shellee Haynesworth (filmmaker) - “Black Broadway on U Street” · June – Home Salon and musical presentation featuring young Cellist, Benjamin Gates ( a budding artist who tells his inspirational story and enchants us with his music) · Collector’s Series to be announced (benefit of Sponsor and Angel level members) We look forward to sharing a wonderful New Art Year with you!
