Dear Mark Solis, Sorry dude, it was hubris all the way for you. I know of a whole lot of amateur and professional photographers who sweat blood and tears, even risked their lives out of love for the craft and love for people and places and things they see and capture. There are even individuals and groups who carefully plan and execute their shots so they can be sure winners in contests where the prize is donated to charity. The truth will set you free. You just have to bear the consequences. Maybe then, you can be really happy taking pictures of your own.
