Dear Members and Friends, The recent allegations against the senior leaders of the Satyananda tradition have shocked and disgusted our membership to the point of crying out for guidance from SYTA management. Today the committee met and each expressed their own emotional reaction to this news. We admittedly don’t have answers although we, as your representatives, will endeavor to support you as practitioners and teachers to continue on your spiritual path. The article by Shambhavi posted earlier today, gives practical advise on how to conduct our selves during this tumultuous time. Whilst we don’t have answers for our selves or our students, Shambhavi writes, ‘We can offer our own honesty and integrity.’ We ask that you continue to witness the process of the Royal Commission and allow time for the authorities to announce their findings and recommendations. The committee is currently drafting a more official form of correspondence and we thank you for your patience and understanding in getting this out to members.
