Dear Mr. Officer this is my son Corey ... As you can see he is AFRICAN AMERICAN. But one night you couldnt see past his color, followed him home and proceeded to question him sitting in his truck in his yard and I am standing in the door. You lied like there had been break ins reported in the neighborhood and you just wanted to run his drivers license again while Im standing in the door. Now I dont know what criminal sits and listens to the radio in the yard of the house you think they supposedly just broke into but yeah...next lie...Thing is you saw a Black kid in a truck typically driven by white boy with a UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA TAG and decided to follow him home because to you he looked suspicious. But what you dont know is that Coreys worked not stole but worked real hard for that brand new truck and if he has ever stolen anything or broke into anywhere(WHICH HE HAS NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE) its because he chose to because hes never WANTED for anything a day in his life. I stood there in my door and didnt say a word because I wanted to see the look of sheer IGNORANCE ON YOUR FACE when you ran his tag &drivers license and found out he OWNED something you thought he stole. Your apology meant absolutely nothing, because your racial profiling spoke volumes. My son could have been Mike Brown from Ferguson Missouri. What happened there could have happened in my yard 2mths ago. I love my SON and he has a SON that loves him. Please dont take his life. Signed HIS MOTHER
