Dear My Fellow Black Men, We are neither who nor what they want - TopicsExpress

Dear My Fellow Black Men, We are neither who nor what they want us to believe we are. We are persecuted, but our spirits can never be captured. We are criminalized, but our morality is blinding in its compassion. We are dehumanized, but our humanity is invaluable. Our lives matter. We are valued. Our essence is Divine in its creation. As the elders urge us to remember, we cannot seek validation from our oppressors. I Love you. I Love us. Your tears are my tears. My laughter is your laughter. We are connected in a genuine Brotherhood. We are not defined by our mistakes, nor is our value determined by our successes. I Love you. I Love us. Dont get it twisted: Educational status is not synonymous with our value as men. We have value whether or not we are enrolling/enrolled in college. No matter who you are, or what they say you did: If they gunned you down, I would mourn your loss. I would Fight the Good Fight for you and never lose Faith. I Love you. I Love us. I am because we are. We matter. I Love you. I Love us. Love, and BE Loved. - PhDodson
