Dear Ones, Your anxious mind with its sometimes excruciatingly hypervigilant criticism and doubt is like a loyal dog barking at the gate. Though vicious on the surface, its mission is to love, protect and serve you. It simply doesnt want you to get hurt. It means well. And Dear Ones, In your stubbornest thought patterns, you are attempting to love and comfort yourself. In your worst moods you nourish yourself with the familiar. Through your most seemingly useless self-flagellating thoughts, you pay homage to your family. For this is what those you hold dear have taught you. You have internalized ancestral pathos as love. You are free to recognize it as such. And then, if and when you choose, you are free to worship other gods. To find different archetypes of love, and make room for them too on the altar of your heart.
