They are looking for high qualified candidate: Operations Manager (Wood) position Reports to: General Manager Companys size: 500-600 employees Working Location: HCM City Supervises: Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, Production Planning, Import/Export, Logistics, and Chemical Department. JOB DESCRIPTION General Achieve excellence in aspects of company performance relating to production, engineering and supply chain. Establish the performance and production standards for the company, all divisions, all operations and all personnel Manage the flow and warehousing of inventory, ensuring acceptable levels and stability Increase overall productivity, efficiency and profitability of each department Administer union negotiation and relations, legal matters, and insurance Represent in governmental and regulatory affairs, including legal matters etc. Production Ensure the effective day-to-day operations of overall production operations Ensure effective equipment operation, maintenance, evaluation and acquisition; as well as inventory management Verify all products are manufactured to correct standard and specification and meet the highest quality standards Confirm the ongoing developing of quality control systems Design and ensure the accomplishments of initiatives and goals Forecasting & Planning Ensure effective master planning including efficient capacity allocation, balanced monthly and shipping schedules, materials availability etc. Ensure the development of accurate forecasts and budgets for all departments Follow up on forecasts and budgets for all departments Human Resources Construct training programs, including the creation and maintenance of manuals and oversight of compliance with all performance standards Establish personnel recruitment processes and management training Establish wage and benefit analysis control Create standards for employee discipline and recruitment Supply Chain: Warehouse, Purchasing, Logistics, Import Export Manage inventory – raw material, spare parts and finished goods warehouse – ensuring optimum stock levels according to forecasts and purchase planning. Collaborate with IT to develop an effective inventory management system Establish effective purchasing and sourcing procedures, in cooperation with accounting department. Maintain strong vendor relations, while upholding company’s values Ensure all importation and exportation activities comply to custom laws Cost Reduction, Process Improvement and Training Propose cost reduction and process improvement initiatives to increase company’s profitability Propose training modules, systems to help improve company culture and workers’ code of ethics Candidate Profile: At least 10 years experience in manufacturing industry (wood processing preferred), Experience in applying key principles to quality and production management (ISO, JIT, Activity-based costing, HACCP, GMP, 5S,QC,TQM, etc.). Prior experience in a Vietnamese manufacturing environment. A successful history of manufacturing management, including excellent profitability enhancement experience. Leadership Skills - The ability to motivate other to make them feel enthusiastic and excited about working at the company. Proactive, Professional and have the ability to effectively work under pressure. Team player who has the willingness to put in long hours. Strong Project Management skills, which discipline in deadlines and resources.
