Dear PMIS, at their July 23 meeting, the National eHealth Governance Steering Committee confirmed my appointment as the team leader of the Program Management Office. The terms of references are: 1) to provide technical and administrative support to the national eHealth governance steering committee and technical working group; 2) manage the Philippine Health Information Exchange. We are still threshing out the rules of engagement especially the communications strategy. Suffice it to say that very soon, there will be more news coming out about the eHealth policies and major projects. We hope the PMIS will step up to be an active organization in support of the national eHealth strategy. The official website, ehealth.ph, will be where all publicly accessible documents and news will be posted. There is nothing there yet now but were open to suggestions on what you expect to see there. For now, the resources are: 1. the Phil eHealth Strategic Framework and Plan 2. the Joint Memo Creating the National eHealth Governance Steering Committee and Technical Working Group (TWG) The Steering Committee meets quarterly while the TWG meets bimonthly. With the PMO activated last July 23rd, expect faster progress and transparency. Watch this space for news and ehealth.ph
