Dear Pals, Ive been wanting to write a short reflection since the last show in Liverpool. This has been a great year to be in Deacon Blue. Weve spent a lot of time together in the studio and on the road and we keep on enjoying all of it. We want to thank you for buying the albums, coming to the shows and sending the tweets and messages on Facebook. It is great to know how much people have enjoyed coming to the gigs. Music should bring people together and its the glue between all of us. Were very grateful that weve been given the chance to make music and we love sharing it with you. This may sound trite or bland but believe me, as someone who came to realise late how important the God-given gift of joy is, being part of creating happiness is the best thing that has ever happened to me. So from Lorraine, Dougie, Jim and Lewis and Gregor too we wish you all peace, love and joy this Christmas. Ricky x
