Dear Parents, Friends and Family I want to share this great article with you. = ) What this teacher who decided to resign is right. Now the schools in Montgomery County, MD mostly emphasis on study what will be in Maryland School Assessment. The states want to measure how much the students are learning in school but the MSA is only to measure which schools the students have the higher scores and compare with other schools. My sons are not interesting in what they are learning in school but I am making sure they are study because they need to pass their tests in order to graduate with diploma. They dont have fun in their classroom. Its really sad the teachers are able to teach for fun, only teach what the state required them to teach in classroom. = ( I think home school is better than public schools ? I dont know about private schools. Also many students are dropping out of high school because they are boring in schools. They are not really learning what is going out in the real world. They are just learning the history and what does it have to do with their future ? Something needs to be done and change the system.
