Dear Parents & Guardians, Tomorrow is the First Day of School in Wolcott. We are all looking forward to a great day as our schools are filled with students excited to be back and ready to learn. The Center Street Bridge on Route 322 (corner of Woodtick Road) has been closed for 8 weeks. It was planned to be open on Wednesday for one lane bus traffic; however, our safety coordinator has deemed that area impassable for a school bus. Therefore, there will be no bus traffic crossing the Center Street Bridge. This will affect many bus routes throughout Wolcott as this is a key intersection of traffic. Please expect delays tomorrow for many bus routes. Due to the construction on Center Street the school buses will travel on Center Street as far as Brook Lane. If students reside on Center Street from Brook Lane to Woodtick Road the bus stop for all (3) schools will be at the corner of Brook Lane / Center Street for both AM and PM stops. If you drive your student to this corner please make sure you do not park your vehicle on Brook Lane as this is where the bus will be turning around. This will be in effect until the construction area is open for traffic (approx. 2 – 3 weeks). We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
